The drivetrain serves two functions: it transfers power evenly from the engine to all drive wheels & it varies the amount of your car’s torque. The drivetrain may include the differential, a transfer case (in four-wheel and all-wheel drive cars) & the transmission.

Differential Service

Why is it important?

The differential is a special gear box located between the drive wheels of your vehicle. It allows the drive wheels to turn at different speeds, as they must when turning a corner. Over the course time, high operating temperatures can cause the lubricating fluid in the differential to break down, developing a gummy texture that won’t properly lubricate the gears in your transmission. Replacing the fluid can help you avoid premature wear on your car’s gears in the differential, & can even help reduce wear on drive-wheel tires.

What is the service?

The old differential fluid is removed & replaced with new lubricating fluid according to your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.

Transfer Case Service

Why is it important?

The transfer case is a special gear box found in four-wheel and all-wheel-drive vehicles. It sends drive power from the engine to the front & rear axles. In all-wheel-drive vehicles, the transfer case helps to shift power from one axle to another, depending upon traction conditions. Lubricant fluid in the transfer case helps to keep its gears cool & turning smoothly. Replacing this fluid at appropriate intervals can help prevent premature wear & damage caused by contaminated or broken-down lubricant.

What is the service?

A special fluid is used to lubricate, cool & clean the gears in the transfer case. The old transfer case fluid is removed & replaced with new fluid that conforms to your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation.

Transmission Services

Automatic Transmission Fluid Exchange

Why is it important?

Transmission gears deliver power from the engine to the drive wheels, shifting automatically to provide the best power & efficiency for your driving speed. A special transmission fluid cools & lubricates the gears. Over time, this fluid degrades, & its lubricant qualities diminish. Changing the fluid at the correct intervals can help prevent premature wear & damage to the transmission.

What is the service?

Removal of the old transmission fluid & replace it with new, clean fluid of the grade recommended by your vehicle manufacturer.

Automatic Transmission Drain and Fill

Automatic transmission fluid lubricates, cools and cleans internal components of the transmission. It also helps to maintain the hydraulic pressure necessary for the transmission to function. The additives in the transmission fluid can be depleted over time.

The Automatic Transmission Drain & Fill service includes:

  •     removing the transmission fill/drain plug to remove the old automatic transmission fluid
  •     reinstalling transmission fill/drain plug
  •     refilling the transmission with new automatic transmission fluid to the proper level

Automatic Transmission Filter Replacement
The automatic transmission filter helps remove dirt & contaminants from the automatic transmission fluid.
The Automatic Transmission Filter Replacement Service includes:

  •     removing the transmission pan
  •     removing the old transmission filter and replacing it with a new transmission filter
  •     removing the old gasket material
  •     replacing the pan gasket with a new gasket & reinstalling the pan refilling the transmission with new automatic transmission fluid to the proper level

Automatic Transmission Fluid Exchange & Filter Replacement

Automatic transmission fluid lubricates, cools & cleans internal components of the transmission. It also helps to maintain the hydraulic pressure necessary for the transmission to function. The additives in the transmission fluid can be depleted over time.

The Automatic Transmission Fluid Exchange & Filter Replacement service includes:

  •     changing the fluid in the transmission system, including the torque converter and transmission       cooler
  •     removing the transmission pan
  •     removing the old transmission filter and replacing it with a new transmission filter
  •     removing the old gasket material
  •     replacing the pan gasket with a new gasket and reinstalling the pan
  •     refilling the transmission with new automatic transmission fluid to the proper level

Manual Transmission Service
A transmission is a speed & power-changing device located between the engine & the driving wheels of a vehicle. It provides a means for changing the ratio between engine RPM & driving wheel RPM to meet each particular driving situation.
Manual transmission fluid provides lubrication to gears, bearings, shafts, and other internal components. Heat, pressure and friction can slowly breakdown the additives in the manual transmission fluid. In addition, small particles of metal may come off the gears as they wear & these metal particles can mix with the fluid.

Fluids can also become contaminated with water.

The service includes:

  •     evacuating the old manual transmission fluid
  •     filling the manual transmission fluid with the manufacturer’s recommended type & quantity of new fluid
